Srosy's Eportfolio

This poster was a team effort on the issue of Gay marriage in the political system. In our poster we cover famous court cases, famous people's opinions on gay marriage, statistics for different age groups and their support, and even a timeline to show how gay marriage has developed itself among the American society. I really enjoyed working on this assignment because again, it's an issue that I wanted to learn about. It's very common and will only become more common in the future years.

I really enjoyed working on this project. It's really nice to get on the creative side and you don't do that much in college. I also like working on this project because it was a topic I'm interested about. A lot of the people in my family, I think, are kind of biased in their voting. They typically vote for republicans, except for my generation. No questions asked. So I enjoyed this assignment because I got to inform whoever read this about being a rational voter, and at the same time teach myself how to be a rational voter!

This was my first real report for college. I felt like I could've done so much more with this report. I wanted to break out my old statistics notes and conduct a real statistical report. But alas, I'm known for doing the bare minimum of things unless I really get into something. This topic was lots of fun. I know there is a gender bias out there, especially among adults. It was fun to go and survey the people, i like to talk and learn about them. I also really liked my group. Everybody was nice, and did their part of the work. I was honestly really surprised at first. I just came from high school where nobody really did anything unless they were the nerdy kid, like me, that cared about their grades. So it was a good experience to see other classmates actually participate in a group project. Now I'm not so skeptical about them!

Final Reflection-

All in all, I honestly really enjoyed this course. The professor was really knowledgeable, laid-back, and merciful to some students. The class itself, pretty much covered all the topics that I was expecting to learn. I was fortunate enough to receive every topic I most preferred for every group project. I don't like working in groups very much, but the groups turned out rather well. My evaluation for this class is very high. The grade you receive is what your earn. The class is very independent. I really liked that about this calss and suggest for people to take it in the future. Plus, you get to sleep in sometimes!
